N-Carbamyl Glutamate
A new glutamate-derived feed additive that improves animal protein yield and quality by increasing the efficiency of the urea cycle and net protein synthesis.
The use of non-protein nitrogen in the diet is an effective way to reduce dependence on protein sources in cattle production. N-carbamylglutamate (NCG) is a structural analog of N-acetylglutamate (NAG), a precursor of endogenous Arg synthesis. NCG improves the urea cycle and Arg improves nitric oxide synthesis and endogenous synthesis of NO.
